Automatic Backwash

Automatic backwash is controlled by an integral timer located in the blower,providing the following features to ensure the excellent performance.

・control the thickness of bio-film attached on the media surface,
・promotes decomposing and removing of the organic material, increasing nitrifying of the ammonium nitrogen and Suspended  solid(SS) filtering performance, and
・preventing the media clogging.

Phosphorus Removal Device for Residential Unit

Background of the development

Phosphorus in wastewater is one of the causes of eutrophication in rivers,lakes and seas. Eutrophication adversely affects the water environment causing many problems such as red tide, algal bloom and so on. Discharged phosphorus in the environment is mostly from domestic wastewater - not from factories. Therefore domestic wastewater needs to be treated properly.Until now, there was no phosphorus removal system small and easy to maintain, designed for domestic wastewater treatment.
Therefore, we developed a phosphorus removal device for domestic wastewater treatment.This device, in our CRX model, enables removal of more than 80% of phosphorus in the wastewater.

Energy efficient

By passing direct current through a pair of iron electrodes immersed in water, divalent iron ion (Fe2+) is eluted from the anodal electrode. This iron is oxidized with dissolved oxygen to trivalent iron ion (Fe3+).Insoluble iron phosphate (FePO4) is formed and precipitated. Precipitated phosphorus is carried back to the head of the system using air lift pumps and is eventually removed as sludge.

Description of the Phosphorus Removal Device

It consists of iron electrodes, a control box and a relay box.
Iron electrodes are immersed in the Aerobic Fluidized Bed Bio-film Filtration Chamber.
A contol box sends direct current (1 Amp) to the electrodes. Polarity is altered once a day to prevent oxide film covering on the electrode surface.
A relay box connects iron electrodes and a control box.
