On March 6, 2024, FujiClean Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chikusa-ku, Nagoya City, Japan, President: Masashi Goto) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nama Water Services, the official water authority in the Sultanate of Oman, and Green Tech Energy and Water (GTEW) to conduct certification testing aimed at the diffusion of wastewater treatment systems. Through this partnership, we aim to utilize FujiClean's wastewater treatment system technology to reduce wastewater treatment and sludge disposal costs in Oman. Under this MoU, certification testing will be conducted based on a pilot project to confirm that our wastewater treatment system technology can meet the wastewater standards of the Sultanate of Oman.
In Oman, which is surrounded by craggy mountains, it is challenging to install drainage pipes and culverts in some areas. In such areas, sewage is stored in sewage holding tanks and withdrawn by sewage collection trucks. This system poses the issue of expensive treatment costs.
FujiClean's wastewater treatment system technology is characterized by easy and inexpensive maintenance and management, and a treatment capacity comparable to centralized sewage treatment plant systems. The decentralized approach allows it to be used in remote areas and scattered residential areas. We hope that in the future, the diffusion of our wastewater treatment systems will improve the rate of untreated sewage and provide a solution to the costs of disposing of sludge from existing sewage holding tanks.
The signing of this MoU was made possible through business matching at a business mission organized by the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME).
FujiClean will continue to work with partners in Japan and overseas to develop products and technologies that contribute to society.
